Dog Training

Does your dog think his name is "No, Don't, Stop or Quit"? Do you find yourself gritting your teeth and holding your breath when friends come over? Furniture and carpet not looking so good now that you have a canine best friend? Relax...we have the solution to your frustrations...and it's fun and rewarding.
Obedience training is the very best thing you can do for the relationship you enjoy with your dog! It opens up a clear line of communication, so that you know what to expect of your dog in all circumstances, and he clearly understands and respects what you expect of him. Training lays down rules and boundaries for your dog, educating him to become a responsible member of society. This includes how to relate to other dogs and people, basic manners, and the prevention of unacceptable behavior problems such as jumping, barking chewing, digging, etc. It eliminates confusion for both you and your dog and you gain trust and mutual respect for each other.
An obedience trained dog is a much safer dog, because you have better control in situations that might endanger him - dashing out the door for example. Training greatly reduces the occurrence of dominance struggles with your dog - he'll know you are a fair leader and will look to you for guidance. Training also fulfills some crucial needs for your dog including exercise, mental stimulation, spending time with you and giving him a job to do.
